Zixia Browser
Privacy Policy
Zixia Browser is designed so that core browsing and reading data remains on your device. This Policy explains what stays local, when information leaves your device at your request, and the choices available to you.
1. Scope and responsibility
This Policy applies to the Zixia Browser Android application and the online resources operated for it. The developer identified for Zixia Browser in the app store or distribution channel is responsible for the processing described here. Websites and services you visit have their own privacy practices.
2. Information stored on your device
Browsing history, bookmarks, tabs, shortcuts, cookies, site storage, cache, downloads, bookshelf files, reading progress, annotations, reader settings, scripts, ad-blocking rules and most preferences are stored locally. Zixia Browser does not automatically upload this local content to our servers.
You can clear browsing data, remove downloads and books, revoke Android permissions, or uninstall the app. If device or cloud backup is enabled, the operating-system or backup provider may process eligible app data under its own terms.
3. Browsing, permissions and local sharing
- When you open a website, that site receives ordinary network information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information and any cookies allowed for that site.
- Camera, microphone, location and file access are used only after you or Android grants access for a website or feature. You can revoke these permissions in Android settings.
- Wi-Fi book transfer starts a temporary server on your device. People on the same network who know its address may be able to upload files while it is running. Stop it after use and use only trusted networks.
- Favicon requests, search, image search, sharing, downloads and opening other apps contact the destination chosen by you. Those parties apply their own privacy policies.
4. Optional online features
These features transmit information only when you enable or use them:
- Translation: selected text, an image, or page content may be sent to the translation provider you select, such as Google, DeepL or Papago/Naver.
- AI assistant: your prompt and, when you request it, selected or page content are sent directly to the provider you configure, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Moonshot, BigModel, DeepSeek or a compatible endpoint. Provider settings and API keys are stored on your device; the selected provider receives them as needed to authenticate requests.
- Speech: system speech uses the speech service selected on your device. If online Microsoft/Edge speech is selected, text to be spoken is sent to Microsoft.
- Third-party accounts: optional QQ, WeChat or Instapaper actions send the information needed for the action to those services and, where shown, to the Zixia authentication service.
Review the selected provider's policy before sending confidential material. We do not control how an independent provider retains or uses information.
5. Zixia online resources and server logs
The app may request legal pages, home-page configuration, sponsored shortcut information, scripts, filter lists or other resources from Zixia domains. These requests do not include your local browsing history, bookmarks, bookshelf or downloaded files. Web servers may record standard security and delivery logs such as IP address, time, user agent, requested resource and response status. Logs are kept only as reasonably necessary for operation, abuse prevention and security, then deleted or anonymized.
6. Sharing, sale and security
We do not sell your personal information. Information is disclosed only to provide a feature you request, to service providers acting for that feature, when required by valid law, or to protect users, the service and legal rights. Network traffic to our online resources uses HTTPS where supported. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete it, clear app data or uninstall the app, subject to backups controlled by your device provider. Data sent to independent websites and optional providers is retained under their policies. Zixia server logs follow the limited retention described above. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information that we control.
8. Children
The app is a general-purpose browser and is not directed to children. A child should use it with a parent or guardian, who should supervise websites, downloads, permissions, AI features and information submitted online.
9. Regional privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know or access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, opt out of certain sale or sharing, and complain to a data-protection authority. These rights are not waived by this Policy. We do not discriminate against users for exercising applicable privacy rights.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when features or legal requirements change. We will publish the new version and effective date here and provide an in-app notice when a change is material. A new or unexpected use of sensitive data will not be authorized merely by changing this page; a separate notice or consent will be provided when required.
